What shall we do with Hirntrauma?

I am not sure what to do with Hirntrauma. Some things came to my mind.

Allow less or more arty/airstrikes
Unlocked Weapons, Guided Rockets, Rocket Cam, Unlocked Weapons
Allow players to retain skill bonuses when playing other classes.
Adrenaline
Class Change
Allow more max XP

Tell me your opinions.


Changes: (compared to hirnschlag)
XP-Max: 160 000 (50 000)
XP-Save: 14 Days (7 Days)
Unlocked Weapons: enabled (disabled)
Venom: disabled (enabled)
Max mines per team: 15 (10)
Arty time (time between each arty): 45 (35)
Airstrike time (time between each air): 45 (35)
Own xp-save folder (shared before with hirnschlag)
Players can steal a teammate's uniform, to switch to their class, gaining their class specific tools and abilities.

Info:
Current Adrenaline settings: (Hirnschlag and trauma both the same)
Spawn with no adrenaline needles, can only get them from ammo packs
Can only carry one needle at a time
Adrenaline only boosts stamina, not health
Adrenaline causes player's eyes to glow red when used

Possible aditional settings:
Ammo packs do not contain adrenaline needles
Adrenaline only boosts health, not stamina
Health packs cannot be picked up while on adrenaline
Enables adrenaline for soldiers
Enables adrenaline for medics
Enables adrenaline for engineers
Enables adrenaline for field ops
Enables adrenaline for covert ops

u remember a while ago i asked if we could make a sniper server?

would be cool to have [!!!]HirnSNIPE

or maybe make hirnstop to hirnsnipe. its not a very popular server.

if this sounds like an idea, i can try getting a servercfg for it.

yeah a sniperserver would be cool
I would play there as well

If not the Guided Rockets and the Rocket Cam sounds interresting

Rocket cam isn't very useful, it just blocks your screen. Mortar cam is useful, but maybe too powerful.

Guided rockets sounds interesting. With that maybe even I can be a bit skilled with rocket, but this adjustment is only fun for 2 players, the none rocket players would hate it..

Unluck weapons is worth the try imo, it's a bit crazy, but rifle + medic sounds like heaven :D

Class change sounds interesting if I understand it well. (You can steal the uniform from the death engi, and defuse the dyna for example), Can be worth a try

Adrenaline isn't my favourite part of the game ;) So no to that :D

Allow players to retain skill bonuses when playing other classes. This sounds nice, but it's maybe too powerful. An xpreset would be even more painful. And newbies to the server would have a hard time with those 'generals of the army'

If you add things, I wouldn't add them all at once, because that could scare people off, but I'm interested in the way this could go.

my suggestions:

- no xpreset
- no adrenaline
- no arty
- no mortar
- classchange yes (we had it already with jaymod and i loved it)

- thos bots r a nice feature, even they r easy preys and dont move on some maps
- stay nq*** (jaymode sucks and etpro is to skilled for me ;-) )
- no xpreset (if server can handle this, else ~80k+x)
- aura skills
- no adrenaline
- no arty
- no mortar
- classchange yes
- allow players to retain skill bonuses when playing other classes
- maybe some different playerskins or smth

maybe changing the mod to smth new would be also an idea to attract ppl.. at least i would love to try this western-mod somewhen at testserver!

I put all my changes into my first post.

If we disable Heavy Weapons, also the rifle nades has to be removed. (Both is sometimes disabled by a missfuntion of admin mod on hirntot. Not much complains... so it could be really worth a try)
Does the stg44 count for you as heavy weapon?

@Dichter: bots skill should be increased now.
Aura-Skills can't be disabled afaik (i can be wrong)
custom skins are dificult since noq1.2.3 they changed their skinning theme.

we even could try a total diffrent mod: eastfront
This mod look intresting and might be also worth a try. I grabed all information i found on wolfmap.de and put the links below.

Unlocked weapons sounds pretty neat, i would give that one a try.

I wouldn't remove arty or heavy weapons, because some people like it and those who do may stay away from the server then. so my suggestion is to allow it, but limit it more than it is atm on schlag, if so the advantages of cams and guided rockets for hw are reduced and may be worth a try.

Allow players to retain skill bonuses when playing other classes: I would disable 8 and 16 because these are a few of the main skills of a CovOp if 1 is enabled and should be left for this class only. 1 was enabled before and was pretty funny, I would give that one a try now, too.

I think most players agree with disabling Adrenaline +1 from me!

Class change sounds worth a try.

XP-Max and XP-Save could be set to the max possible, if that causes problems, the settings atm are totally ok.

EDIT: zomg i just finished this post 2 mins after yours Harle, this mod sounds awesome. i would give that one a try :!: *thumbs up*

at least we could see how it works, and if it creates problems like jaymode did, we still can remove it.

+1 to sniper server / Mortar Cam Mortars show a cam when fired +Unlocked Weapons Everyone can pick up any weapon + Firebolt Throwing Players throw firebolts from their hands, (Removed in No Quarter 1.1.1) :mrgreen:
