Just a little suggestion:
Usually you can see if someone is a teammate or an enemy by the ccolor of the helmet, either brown or grey, which is useful especially in situations where you can only see the head.
On the christmas mod though everyone has a red hat, which makes it a lot harder to differenciate between teammates and enemies.
So I'm wondering if you could give the allies a (for example) blue helmet instead of the red one?

Yes, HBC has this, and when you receive a headshot, your helmet falls off, but on Hirntot, your helmet stays. Not sure if intentional or a faulty helmet skin or something.

I updated the currently used pk3 (z_xmas_etpro_2007.pk3), so Allied hats are blue and Axis red, the same as on HBC, and when you get a headshot, your helmet falls off normally.

Also the ramp/bridge etc. construction sites have a hint of red/green instead of plain white.

And Santa mortar leaves a big trail of smoke behind :D

Other things are unchanged.

Please consider testing/implementing it, just rename z_xmas_etpro_2016.zip to .pk3. A bit of change after 9 years might be fun.

The hats stay on on purpose. Otherwise people with no hat would have an advantage as they'd be harder to spot.

Ok, so I made it so the hats stay (I think). Also the red hat isn't as bright and beacony, but darker.

Also, turns out there is a bug with the hats in z_xmas_etpro_2007.pk3, Axis fieldops & soldier and Allied soldier lose hats after receiving a headshot. I guess that's because these files are missing for some reason:

models/players/temperate/axis/fieldops/body_fieldops.skin
models/players/temperate/axis/soldier/body_soldier.skin
models/players/temperate/allies/soldier/body_soldier.skin

So if you don't want to give some classes an unfair advantage, please update the pk3!

Let It Go. Winter is over soon. Better luck next year. Heaven knows you've tried.

Works great! Thanks

Loving the mortar trail, wish it could stay after the Christmas mod is removed to nerf the mortar a bit (easier to spot & avoid).
