ETWsk aims to reduce spawnkilling (SK) on public funservers. An SK here is if someone kills an enemy near a fix spawn point. A fix spawn point means that it can not be cleared by the enemy. E.g. on radar map, the allied Side Gate spawn is not fix as the axis can destroy the command post. However, the Main Bunker spawn is fix after the Allies have destroyed the Main Gate. ETWsk does not prevent but it detects and counts SKs for every player. If a player has caused a certain number of SKs, he gets punished (putspec, kick, ban, ...). As the detection of fix spawns is difficult especially on custom maps, little configuration work has to be done.

These files are additional packages, Download them to your etmain folder. If the file is a .zip , unzip them and put the output in etmain.

This affects all bans / kicks referring to violations (Gamehack) #80332 and (Multihack) #70476.
If you have been kicked / banned from our gameservers for those violations read the following for more information: http://crossfire.nu/?x=news&mode=item&id=2725
It is possible that also other violations from the range #70000 - #89999 are affected.

It would be nice if more people would show up in our IRC channel #hirntot.org @ quakenet.org. All those who have problems with setting up an IRC client or just are too lazy to install a local client, can use the Java-IRC client on the hirntot page to get help with setting up their local IRC client. Normally there is always someone online, just say hello and wait a while. It can take quite some time before someone responds because sometimes we play ET or take a bath together.;) If someone has problems with router settings, ET or just with his girlfriend because you play to much ET feel free to ask we will support you as best as we can.
PS: Hirntot Members are also very welcome...

Unfortunately, Admin Mod has irretrievably destroyed our user database (Hirntot, Hirnlos & Hirschlag), including all admin levels. As we only have a backup containing member entries, it will take some time before donator and regular levels will be restored. We have a list of all donators, they will get their levels back soon. Hi!
As some of you maybe noticed, we had lots of strange problems etadminmod on hirnjump. Therefore I removed all levels on hirnjump except the ones for the !!! guys and roar. Roar has his old rights back, so you can ask him to give you your old level back. I hope that there will be less trouble with etadminmod on Hirnjump.

Due to spambots we had lots of accounts which were never used. So I removed all accounts which the status "waiting for activation". If your account had this status, you have to sign up again.
Version 2.036 of the PB Client for ET has been released to our PB Master Servers for auto-update and to our website download page. This is a maintenance release.
If you get this meassage:
PunkBuster Client: PB Client in Distress - Cannot Authenticate with PB Server (C2036)
You have to update the punkbuster client. Look on the left side How to update Punkbuster
Or use the pbweb.exe/.bin inside the pb folder to update your client.

And so we kiss goodbye to another year. Hirntot has seen many new members come aboard in the past year, including myself, and has welcomed donations for the new servers, thnx guys. We have had members getting married, members falling in love (altho not with each other), next year perhaps a baby hirnie? We've been through some tough times this year and came through it all together.
So instead of rambling on, lets raise a glass or two to welcome in 2008 in the customary tradition. Lets get drunk and then......
